About

When we grow up and become adults in this frantic world, it is easy to forget about our inner child’s dreams and imagination. How important are dreams anyway, when we are working at our respective careers trying not to starve to death. It’s an easy thing to lose track of when we’re paying for home utility bills, scheduling a work week, and attending various social functions.

That’s also why it is so important to remind ourselves of our aspirations. If all of us, everywhere at once, were to lose them than we would be little better than automatons, soulless machines moving around like clockwork from houses to the workplace and back to the house. That doesn’t sound like much of a life.

Fortunately for society, there are careers where people are encouraged to utilize their creativity actively in the workforce. This ranges anything from teachers and scientists, to mechanics and writers. These ideas create jobs, more resources, and better gadgetry. If you were to tell a person born in the early part of the eighteen hundreds about modern life, he would have called you insane. How can that person believe in the creation of the automobile? What would his response be if he learned of the internet? How about space travel? Creativity and resourcefulness have given modern man fabulous inventions to better his existence.

Not all imagination has to create inventions to be considered useful though. Literature, poetry, and art all create something new and exciting for the world. I would go as far to say that higher ideals and values spring from these concepts. This is the reason why it is important to find new literature and creativity that is fresh and full of wonder. No one wants to read the same old story, after a while the tale as old as time really does get old.

On this blog you will read about an up-and-coming author who does write new and original stories, Matthew Brown. Some of his realities are featured in dark dystopian worlds, while other books have us journeying across America. Adventure filled themes, grotesque living dolls, or futuristic ships filled with enemy spies, whichever genre of book you prefer, there is something here for everyone. You just have to be willing to reach out and touch it. Enjoy!
